Maya Uribe was born and raised in the Bay Area and currently lives in Antioch, California. Maya first attended Cal State Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts degree in animation, as well as a minor in Performing Arts. Now, she has graduated with her Certificate in Lighting Design from Ohlone College in Fremont, California.

She found love in lighting and had been influenced by the people around her to continue lighting things such as Plays, musicals, and dances to help those achieve their dreams. She hopes to continue working with other artists and continue her passion for lighting design in the future.
